My name is Katie, Im 16 years old and I have created this site to share my passion about animals with the world!
THE START
Ive always been an animal lover, and have always wanted people to be kind to animals and treat them like they would treat a person (although some people arent very nice to any one!) My first ever pet was a cat called Sparkey, but sadly he became ill and had to be put to sleep.
NOW
Ive had a variety of pets since then, and now I have 2 cats and 4 fish! I love them all, and I have this "bond" with my cats because I have been studying their behaviour and can read their body language! I hope to go on and study other animals, and in the future I would like to do everything I can to help all of the animals, large or small!

Animal rescue workers in the north east are hoping that dumped puppy Leta is not the start of a busy new year. The 8-month-old cross terrier was discovered tied to the railings at Bryson's animal refuge, in Wrekenton. She was one of the first puppies abandoned in the north in 2003 but rescue workers fear they are about to face their annual influx of dumped snimals. Centre manager Tracey Hoilmes said: "She had a dirly bit o brown paper attached to her saying that her name was Leta and that she was 8 months old and had been vaccinated. Fingers crossed and tough wood shes is the only one we get after Christmas. It's awful. I know peoples circumstances change and often they can't keep animals, but I would appeal to people not just to aboandon them. Come in and talk to us so we can get more information about the animal and try to ind a suitable home for it. Sometimes we can't take any more in but we will always help people immediately if we can and if not straight away will put people on our waiting list." She fears that things could be busy over the next few weeks. She said: "At the minute the Christmas puppies are still cute. It will be a few months down the line before poeple want rid of them."
I think its really sad, and I have the picture of Leta here, and shes lush! Why would anyone just tie her to a fence and leave her???As soon as I am able to, I will post her picture onto this site.

The site is: WWW.BONSAIKITTEN.COM there was a petition being passed on through the net and if you happen to get it sent to you then please sign it. It is to try and get the site closed down again! thanks x
TV = Thailand
The laws in Thailand are completely different to those here concerning animal rights and welfare. They are trained to perform tricks to bring in the tourists. A girl was mauled to death by an elephant and still they keep doing it. When the facilities aren't adequate and the animals are wild, i think its unfair to leave the tamers with no blame at all. I believe that it should all be stopped.
